Edinburgh: Scotland's capital city

	Edinburgh Edinburgh is well known as a festival city. Possibly best known for the Edinburgh International Festival which this year runs from 13th August to 3rd September. Don't forget the Bank of Scotland Fireworks concert at 9.00pm on Sunday 3rd September. The 2006 Edinburgh Fringe Festival starts on 6th August and runs until 28th August. This year's Edinburgh Book Festival runs from 12th to 28th August. The 60th Edinburgh Film Festival is from 14th to 27th August. From 4th to 26th August 2006 the historic Edinburgh Castle will be home to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Details of festival events can be found at the Edinburgh Festivals website.
